Is Perrysburg ready to play the Whitmer Panthers after losing 25 to 15 to them on September 29? As the playoffs are beginning, the Yellow Jackets are the tenth seed of region two of the OHSAA football playoffs and the Whitmer Panthers are a seventh seed. Last year, the Yellow Jackets made it to the third round of the playoffs before elimination.

Quarterback Josh Takats says that, “last year we got pretty far in the playoffs and I got to see that,” and “it’s really cool advancing in the playoffs and hopefully we can make a deep run in it.”
Linebacker Braxton Mefferd says the Yellow Jackets must “eliminate all of the personal foul penalties.” Mefferd also said as a team we need to play hard through all four quarters and keep heads up during the low moments.”
The Yellow Jackets have to eliminate the mistakes they previously made against Whitmer.
Takats says “It’s just executing the details” that will make the difference for a Perrysburg victory.
Both Takats and Mefferd are juniors and agree that it is really cool to make a run into the playoffs. Mefferd tells “You only get so many Friday nights so take what you can get.”
