Who has not heard of the slogan “Talk Toledo?” That phrase is heard and made much of in Toledo and Perrysburg. The idea presented is to arouse in people of Toledo an interest in their hometown. Likewise, we of the editorial staff wish to arouse the interest of our townspeople in our school by “Talk Perrysburg High.”
Perrysburg High is a credit to the town, having the best of equipment, best of teachers, and the best of townspeople, as boosters. Besides this, we have a big group of young people whose possibilities are indeed great and whose future depends only on their present training and surroundings. The plastic minds of these young people are grasping daily the lessons, not only from their books, but the lessons of life which will either retard or make possible the realization of the ambition of their youth.
The school is continually growing, and as the attendance grows, likewise, the ideals and standards. When the standards are high the pupils, teachers, and people will do their best to keep them thus. With the best of literary societies, debating clubs; with the real true friendships of youth – the things that go to make up a real, balanced, worthwhile life, the youth of your town and my town is being moulded – moulded not in the home, especially, but in the High School.
On the High School, your future town depends. Give the school the support it needs and should have. The co-operation, not only of the students but of the whole town is needed to make our school the best in the country. Let’s “Talk Perrysburg High!”
