On Wednesday, Nov. 10, Perrysburg High School hosted its first National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing day.
Families, friends and coaches gathered to watch their athletes sign, at 7:30 a.m., to commit themselves to continue their academic and athletic career in college.
Seven student athletes signed their NLIs: Will Blanchard, Mason Deal, Aubrey Duhaime, Kanyon Gagich, Rayann Pruss, Alice Schmidt and Abby Wozny.
Blanchard will be playing lacrosse at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He will be playing lacrosse at the Division II level.
Duhaime will be running cross country at The University of Toledo. She will be running at the Division I level.
Gagich will be playing Baseball at the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia. He will be continuing at the Division II level.
Deal will be continuing his golfing career at The University of Toledo. He will be golfing at the Division I level.
Pruss will be playing soccer at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She will be playing soccer at the Division I level.
Schmidt will be continuing her rowing career at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. She will be rowing at the Division I level.
Wozny will be playing soccer at The University of St. Francis at Fort Wayne, Indiana. She will be continuing at the Division II level.
Of the seven who signed, four will be going to Division I school and three will be going to Division II school. Congrats is in order for these jackets for making it into collegiate sports!
