Last summer, the first season of Stranger Things was released on Netflix on July 15, 2016. Since then, the show has gotten a crazy amount of attention and hype. With only 8 episodes in the first season, the conclusion left fans desperate for more.
Season 2 of Stranger Things was renewed on August 31, 2016, not too long after the first season was aired. The Netflix series, written by The Duffer Brothers, is primarily a Science Fiction drama. It is set in a small Indiana town called Hawkins in the 1980s when sci-fi captivated the people of that time period.
The show tells about four best friends, Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin, frequently bullied and deemed the “freaks” around school, when some odd things start happening in their hometown. As the title suggests, stranger things begin to occur.
In my opinion, Stranger Things is an amazing TV series because I found myself emotionally attached to the characters and really felt for them when something went “wrong” for them along their journey. Tears may have been shed.
Stranger Things season 2 was recently released on Friday, October 27 of this year, and it seems that everyone is talking about it. People can’t get enough! There will be no spoilers here about the season in case you haven’t watched it yet, but I will say this: it is suspenseful, riveting, emotional, and truly a great sequel and my hope is that you will be interested in watching both seasons now.
