Imagine four years of hard work toward a single NLL championship on a final senior night.
On Friday, February 24th, the varsity boys basketball team faces off against the Napoleon Wildcats in what is potentially the league championship game. The Jackets come into this game with a 14-7 record and can win the league if everything goes right.
As of right now, Perrysburg and Anthony Wayne are tied for first place in the NLL. The Generals will face off against the Southview Cougars this Friday as well, so with a Perrysburg win, the Jackets will automatically have a share of the title.
However, if Anthony Wayne loses and Perrysburg wins, the Jackets are the NLL champions outright.

The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets have had a strong regular season and look to make a good run into the state playoffs.
The Jackets’ scoring has been led by the dominant duo of shooting guard Matt Gruden and power forward Nick Sanford. Gruden leads the team with an average of 18.5 points per game, while Sanford has also contributed a good 14 points per game.
Griff Sattler has racked up the most assist for the Jackets averaging 8 a game, and Sanford has been controlling the paint rolling in 8.4 rebounds a game. The team has counted on many young players this year as well and look to continue their winning tradition in years to come.
Our student section, The Swarm, has been selected as a finalist in the OHSAA Golden Megaphone contest with other schools across the state. So all Perrysburg students will receive free admission to the game with their I.D. Also the first 75 students to pack The Swarm get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich card.
Perrysburg students — let’s #BEE there, fill the stands and root on our Jackets as we look to take the golden megaphone and they fight for another NLL championship.
