On March 13, President Biden’s administration approved the proposed Willow Project which will enforce drilling for oil in Alaska in the next few years. The project will turn land in northern areas of the state into facilities that would pump over 180,000 barrels of oil per day for the next 30 years.
Toledo arts commission is accepting applications for teen summer program, YAAW, until March 17
The Arts Commission is accepting applications for their summer teen apprentice program, Young Artists At Work (YAAW) until March 17, 2023. The program, which has been running since 1994, hires Toledo area teens to create, connect and learn over the course of six weeks.

On Feb. 3, 2023, a train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. It was then discovered that many of the train cars were carrying hazardous, toxic materials that then caught fire at the site. The event is now considered a disaster, affecting air quality, water supply and agriculture in Ohio.
