Before the long-awaited spring break, students at Perrysburg High School were de-lighted with a last-minute two hour delay and ultimate school cancellation due to a power outage.
For many days, administrators said the cause of the outage was unknown. Now, eNothin reveals the secret broken just this morning.
Superintendent Tom Hosler was having a wonderful spring break when he, on his flight back to Perrysburg, had a revolutionary idea.
Just as he arrived back in Perrysburg, at 4:01 a.m. on April 1, he dialed Principal Aaron Cookson’s cell phone.
“He asked if we had checked the security footage, and I realized that there was something missing that morning,” said Cookson, revealing that the administration was too excited for the upcoming break to even consider checking the cameras.
Cookson explained that he immediately rushed to the school.
“As soon as I played back the tape I saw it,” he said.
He showed eNothin the tape, which shows a figure dressed as the Anthony Wayne mascot walking the halls the morning of the incident.
After walking around, the mascot stood on a table in the lunch room and stared directly into the security camera, while struggling to chop an electrical line with a pair of safety scissors.
“You know. This is where we draw the line. Pun intended.” Cookson said.
Cookson gives his final statement: “Anthony Wayne kids need to check themselves. We’ll get our revenge on the field.”
In a twist of irony, Perrysburg High School students had the day off school after the meddling by Anthony Wayne. Thanks, Generals!
