The boys basketball season came to an end on March 9 after a loss to St. Johns in a nail-biting game with a final score of 42-47.
Assistant coach Chris Stein said, “Our main goals were to go to districts and win the NLL title… these guys really grew as a team and it was a pleasure to coach them.”
Nonetheless, the boys had a very successful season, going 20-6. The boys were the NLL champions this season as well as district champions, defeating Lima Senior with a stand-out score of 80-42.
The game against St. John’s had senior Andrew Hunt lead the Jackets by nine points, with fellow Jackets Gavin Fenneken, Austin Shultz and senior Avery Hunt all scoring seven points. Senior Matt Watkins put five points on the board for the Yellow Jackets.
