Perrysburg High School students have heard it more times than they like to admit — “Go, Jackets!” said by principal Michael Short. To take his famous catchphrase to the next level Short decided to get a lip tattoo of the phrase on April 1 of this year.
As of April 1, Short is sporting his new lip tattoo in order to immortalize his famous words. However if you ask him to show it off he may be a little hesitant.
Short said, “I’m ecstatic about finally getting to have my favorite two words as a part of my body. However I don’t want to give off the wrong idea and I don’t want to inspire bad behavior with the addition of my lip tattoo.”
“I’ve realized that I don’t have much time left for school spirit as I am retiring this year” Short said. “I wanted to go out with one last big hoorah and I thought this would help me memorialize my time here at PHS.”
Although face masks may hide this tattoo it’s nice to know that Dr. Short will be thinking about Perrysburg High School every time he brushes his teeth. So we approve of that lip tattoo and wear it proudly, and we’ll miss you Dr. Short! Go Jackets.
