The Perrysburg Girls basketball team won its season opener on Nov. 26, beating Northview 61-53.
Abby Sattler led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with 15 points and Allex Brown added 14 points. Both Taylin Hunter and Lindy DeLong had 8 points.
Kendall Jessing led Northview (2-1, 0-1) with 22 points and Maddie Cole added 14 points.
Perrysburg, which was undefeated in Northern Lakes League play last year and finished the season 23-2, is picked to repeat the NLL crown this season. Seven of the eight players who earned All-NLL first-team honors last year return this season.
